What this puzzle is about
The Music Hall is a short deduction puzzle set in a music hall. Three performers, Lena, Mina, and Sam, each left one instrument (a violin, a flute, or a drum) in one part of the hall: the rehearsal room, the stage, or the foyer. Three clues are all you get, so each one matters. There is exactly one solution, and you never need to guess.
Who it suits
This is an easy 3 × 3 × 3 grid with two direct clues and one connecting clue that links an instrument to a place without naming the performer. That pattern, also used in The Observatory and The Science Club, is ideal for learning how the third grid works. It suits beginners, music-loving kids, and anyone who wants a short puzzle in the browser or on paper. It pairs well with the Music Hall word search.
How to start
Mark Mina with the flute and Lena in the rehearsal room, then clear their rows and columns. Next, put the violin-and-foyer link in the keepsakes-and-places grid. Lena’s location tells you whether she could be the one with the violin; follow that thought, and the rest of the grid starts to fall into place.
How to solve this puzzle
Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
