The Film Night

Friends brought snacks to different screening spots. There is exactly one solution. Use each clue to match the people, keepsakes and places.

Your clues

  1. Ezra brought the lemonade.
  2. Ezra visited the balcony.
  3. Sage brought the popcorn.
  4. Jules visited the aisle.

Make the matches

Tap a square to mark yes (✓), no (×), or clear it. A confirmed match rules out the rest of its row and column.

What this puzzle is about

The Film Night brings three friends, Ezra, Sage, and Jules, to a movie screening. Each brought one snack (popcorn, cookies, or lemonade) and sat in one spot: the balcony, the front row, or the aisle. Four direct clues lead to one solution, so this is a puzzle you can finish with confidence.

Who it suits

This is one of the easiest grids on the site: an easy 3 × 3 × 3 board where every clue is a direct statement. It suits complete beginners, younger solvers, and movie-night or party activities where you want everyone to reach the end. It is also a good puzzle for learning how the grid fills itself in once a few ✓ marks are placed.

How to start

Mark both of Ezra's clues first, then Sage with the popcorn and Jules on the aisle. After each ✓, cross out the rest of that row and column. When you are done, there should be only one blank square left in each grid section. Check it against the clues before you mark it.

How to solve this puzzle

Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
