Your clues

  1. Tess brought the lamp.
  2. Iris visited Aisle Three.
  3. Lena visited Aisle One.
  4. Iris did not bring the clock.

Make the matches

Tap a square to mark yes (✓), no (×), or clear it. A confirmed match rules out the rest of its row and column.

What this puzzle is about

The Vintage Fair is a short deduction puzzle set among the stalls of a vintage fair. Three collectors, Tess, Lena, and Iris, each found one object (a clock, a lamp, or a mirror) in one of three aisles: Aisle One, Aisle Two, or Aisle Three. Four clues are enough to work out who found what and where each collector browsed. There is exactly one solution, and you never need to guess.

Who it suits

This is an easy 3 × 3 × 3 grid with three direct clues and one “did not” clue, the same mix as The Museum Mystery. That makes it a comfortable puzzle for practicing how a negative clue narrows the choices once a few ✓ marks are in place. It suits beginners, families solving together, and anyone who wants a quick puzzle to play on screen or print for later.

How to start

Place the three direct clues first: Tess and the lamp, Iris in Aisle Three, and Lena in Aisle One. Clear the rest of each row and column as you go. Then read the “did not” clue about Iris and mark that × right away. Look at Iris’s row in the people-and-keepsakes grid and count how many blank squares are left before you decide anything.

How to solve this puzzle

Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
