What this puzzle is about

The Winter Lodge is a cozy deduction puzzle set in a winter lodge. Three visitors, Sage, Ezra, and Sam, each gathered one piece of gear (the gloves, the skis, or the hat) in one part of the lodge: the lobby, the terrace, or the lounge. Four clues lead to exactly one solution, and every step can be reached by reasoning alone.

Who it suits

This is an easy 3 × 3 × 3 grid where all four clues are direct statements, so it is a good first or second puzzle for complete beginners and younger solvers. Once two visitors are fully placed, the third falls into place by elimination, which is the core idea behind every logic grid. It pairs well with the Winter Lodge word search, which is already in the archive.

How to start

Start with Ezra, who appears in two clues: mark the skis and the lounge, then clear his rows and columns. Add Sam on the terrace and Sage with the hat. Each of the two people grids should now have one row with a single blank square left. Check that last match against every clue before you mark it ✓.

How to solve this puzzle

Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
