- Eden visited the upper deck.
- The person with the backpack visited the bow.
- Felix visited the stern.
- Eden did not bring the satchel.
Make the matches
Tap a square to mark yes (✓), no (×), or clear it. A confirmed match rules out the rest of its row and column.

What this puzzle is about
The Island Ferry is a four-person deduction puzzle set on a ferry crossing. Eden, Miles, Sam, and Felix each carried one bag (a tote, a satchel, a case, or a backpack) to one spot on board: the upper deck, the stern, the cabin, or the bow. Five clues lead to a single solution, and every step can be reached by reasoning alone.
Who it suits
This is a hard 4 × 4 × 4 grid that uses every clue type: three direct clues, one connecting clue that links a bag to a spot without naming the passenger, and one “did not” clue. With four options per category, each clue rules out less on its own, so you will carry facts between the grids. It suits solvers who have finished The Garden Party or a few easy grids. It pairs well with the Island Ferry word search.
How to start
Mark the three direct clues (Miles and the case, Eden on the upper deck, Felix at the stern), clearing rows and columns as you go. Record the backpack-and-bow link in the keepsakes-and-places grid, and mark Eden’s “did not” clue as × straight away. Then look at the people-and-places grid: only two passengers could still be at the bow. Which of them could be carrying the backpack?
How to solve this puzzle
Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
