The Science Club

Members displayed their projects around the lab. There is exactly one solution. Use each clue to match the people, keepsakes and places.

Your clues

  1. Mina brought the model.
  2. Ava visited the workbench.
  3. The person with the magnet visited the window.

Make the matches

Tap a square to mark yes (✓), no (×), or clear it. A confirmed match rules out the rest of its row and column.

What this puzzle is about

The Science Club is a short deduction puzzle set in a club lab. Three members, Ava, Mina, and Mara, each displayed one project (a magnet, a prism, or a model) in one spot: the workbench, the window, or the shelf. Your job is to match every member with a project and a spot using just three clues. There is exactly one solution.

Who it suits

This is an easy 3 × 3 × 3 grid built on two direct clues and one connecting clue that links a project to a spot without naming the member. It has the same shape as The Observatory and The Castle Tour, so it suits beginners who have tried an all-direct grid and want to practice using the third grid. Mina and Mara have similar names, so read each clue carefully. It works on screen or printed.

How to start

Mark the two direct clues first: Mina brought the model, and Ava visited the workbench. Clear their rows and columns. Then record the magnet-and-window link in the keepsakes-and-places grid. Ask yourself whether Ava could be the person with the magnet, given where she went, and see what that tells you about the other two members.

How to solve this puzzle

Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
