The Orchard Walk
Friends found different treasures along the trail. There is exactly one solution. Use each clue to match the people, keepsakes and places.
Your clues
- Mara brought the pear.
- June visited the gate.
- The person with the acorn visited the hill.

What this puzzle is about
The Orchard Walk follows three friends, June, Mara, and Bea, along an orchard trail. Each picked up one small treasure (a pear, a feather, or an acorn) and stopped at one landmark: the bridge, the gate, or the hill. Three clues lead to one solution, and every step follows from the clues alone.
Who it suits
It's an easy 3 × 3 × 3 grid built on two direct clues and one connecting clue. It suits beginners, kids who like nature themes, and anyone looking for a fall-flavored puzzle for a short break. Because it is so compact, it also works well as a printed warm-up before a longer puzzle.
How to start
Mark Mara with the pear and June at the gate, clearing rows and columns as you go. Then add the acorn-and-hill link to the keepsakes-and-places grid. June was at the gate, so ask whether she could have been the one carrying the acorn, and mark what you learn.
How to solve this puzzle
Each person has one keepsake and visited one place. A yes mark eliminates the other options in the same row and column. Combine the clues until all three grids agree.
